Gardaí issue appeal over fatal Galway crash

A 19-year-old woman died following a single vehicle crash last night in Creggs, Co Galway.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for information regarding a fatal road accident in Co Galway yesterday in which a 19-year-old woman was killed.

Gardaí say that the woman’s car hit a ditch at Tonamaddy in Creggs at around 10.20pm last night.

She was taken to University College Hospital in Galway where she died of her injuries.

The woman was the sole occupant of the car and no one else was injured in the crash

The road was closed pending a technical examination by a garda forensics team, but has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Tonamaddy, Creggs area last night between 10pm and 11pm to contact them at Ballinasloe on 090 9631890 or through any garda station.
