Three teens arrested after burglary and car chase

The incident occurred in the early hours of this morning in Navan.

THREE TEENAGERS BECAME involved in a brief car chase with gardaí following a burglary at a house early this morning.

Gardaí said today they have arrested three youths following a burglary at a house in Navan.

At approximately 2.30am today a car was intercepted by uniformed gardaí who were on patrol in the Kentstown area.

A brief pursuit occurred, after which three males aged in their late teens were arrested. The car had been taken a short while earlier during the course of a burglary at a house in Navan.

The three youths are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Navan Garda Station.

All of the property taken during the burglary was recovered and the investigation is ongoing.
