1. #CRC: Following a mother of a young service user of the Central Remedial Clinic making a tearful appeal about donations on RTE’s Morning Ireland this morning, the Chairman of the Public Accounts John McGuinness said that parents and children are “not the ones who should suffer”.

2. #COURT: Saverio Bellante, who is accused of the murder of Tom O’Gorman, is due in court today.

3. #MOODY’S: the credit rating agency Moody’s is expected to raise its outlook on Ireland from stable to positive later today, but it’s predicted government bonds will stay at junk level for the time being.

4. #FIRE: An adult and a child are being treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in an apartment in Balbriggan, Dublin, took place in the early hours of this morning.

5. #MISSING: Edinburgh Police officers say they are now ‘deeply concerned’ about the missing three-year-old Mikaeel Kular.

6. #CRITICAL: Labour Senator Jimmy Harte who sustained serious head injuries in a fall last November, remains in a critical condition and has been transferred back to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.

7. #BAILOUT: The head of the eurozone’s permanent bailout fund, Klaus Regling, is in Dublin this morning to discuss Ireland’s exit from the EU-IMF bailout with the Finance Minister Michael Noonan.

8. #SYRIA: Syria’s main political opposition, the Syrian National Coalition, is meeting in Istanbul today to decide whether to go to next week’s peace talks, reports the BBC.

9. #SPYING: President Barack Obama is expected to roll out modest changes to the way in which the NSA collects phone and internet information today.
