3. #FIREMEN: Following Wicklow County Council being fined over €355,000 yesterday for health and safety breaches contributing to the deaths of two Bray fire officers, the IFESA has called for a special report into the national fire service to be conducted.

8. #IRAN: Fourteen Iranian border guards have been killed in a clash with gunmen on the border with Pakistan, reports the BBC.

9. #CLOCKS: We’re getting an extra hour in bed tomorrow as the clocks go back one hour at 2am on Sunday morning, but The Daily Mail reports today that Dublin time was once 25 minutes and 21 seconds behind London time.
