Woman threatened by raider with a knife during Limerick shop robbery

Gardaí have arrested a male in his 30s in connection to the robbery.

A WOMAN WAS threatened during a robbery of a shop in Thomas Street, Co Limerick.

Yesterday a lone raider entered a shop armed with a large knife, and threatening a female shop assistant before demanding cash.

The raider then left the shop with an undisclosed amount of cash.

At approximately 11am, gardaí were told a robbery had taken place on Thomas Street. In a follow-up search, gardaí arrested a man in his 30s.

He was detained at Henry Street Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

He is expected to appear before Limerick District Court this morning charged in connection with this robbery.
