Three arrested after 'sophisticated' cannabis grow house found in Cork

An estimated €100,000 worth of cannabis plant and herb were seized.

GARDAÍ IN MACROOM have arrested three men following a drugs seizure at Derreenaling, Ballyvourney, Co. Cork.

The discovery was made yesterday evening when Gardaí from the Cork West Divisional Drugs Unit searched land at Derreenaling and discovered a sophisticated cannabis grow house located underground.

A large quantity of cannabis plant and herb with an estimated street value of €100,000 was seized.

The three men are detained at various West Cork Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, 1996.
