Three charged after dissident inquiry

Firearms charges follow investigation into dissident republican activity.

THREE MEN HAVE BEEN charged with firearms offences by officers investigating dissident republican acitivities.

The men – two aged 22 and one aged 26 – were arrested on Monday in Cookstown, Co Tyrone, after officers stopped their car, according to the Belfast Telegraph.

The three have been charged with possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and possessing ammunition in suspicious circumstances.

A fourth man arrested with them remains in custody.
