THREE PEOPLE have been rescued from waters off Bray in Co Wicklow when their small boat started to sink.
The 15-foot speedboat was about a mile from Bray Harbour when it began to submerge shortly after midday today.
Another local boat responded to a mayday call and brought the three people to safety.
An RNLI lifeboat from Dún Laoghaire, and members of the Greystones Coast Guard, towed the vessel to shore.
Winds rose to storm force towards the end of the operation, but conditions were described as ‘otherwise fresh’.
