Man (80s) dies in Tipperary house fire

Gardaí are not treating the death as suspicious.

AN ELDERLY MAN has died in a house fire in Tipperary this morning.

Emergency services were called to the property in Kilsheelan, near Clonmel, at around 1.30am.

The man, who was in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is understood that he was the only person in the house at the time.

The area has been sealed off for a technical examination.
