Tom McFeely

What bankrupt developer of faulty apartments used to live in a mansion like this?

IT’S NO PRIORY Hall – and the €3m price tag of Tom McFeely’s former Ballsbridge home reflects that.

As reported in TheJournal.ie yesterday evening, the National Asset Management Agency (Nama) put the bankrupt developer’s Dublin 4 house up for sale straight after McFeely lost his High Court action challenging repossession of the mansion.

McFeely, who built the disastrous Priory Hall apartment complex in Donaghmede, was ordered out of ‘Coolbawn’, 2 Ailesbury Road, Ballsbridge  in August. He had defaulted on a €9.5m mortgage for the property.

A listing on Daft.ie by sales agents Colliers International describes it as a “2-storey over garden level semi-detached imposing red brick period residence of approximately 473 sq. mtrs, 5,100 sq. ft. of imposing accommodation”. It also notes that it requires “some refitting and modernisation”.

If you have a spare €3m lying around – and hey, who doesn’t these days – you too could have an olde world bathroom like this. (You’ll have to get a new stove for the kitchen though – looks like this one has been ripped out.)
