ONE MAN has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Swords, Co Dublin, last night. James Joyce, 20, was pronounced dead at Beaumont Hospital after being stabbed in an altercation. A post-mortem will be carried out later today. A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been fatally stabbed in Dublin. Gardaà are examining the scene of the incident on St Cronan’s Avenue off Rathbeale Road in Swords. A number of people are believed to have been involved in incident.

A NEW REPORT from the OECD has suggested people living in Ireland have some of the best lives in the world, with Ireland among the top countries in its Better Life Index.
The index finds that life expectancy, low pollution, positive experiences and a healthy work-life balance are among the factors that contribute to happy lives in Ireland.
It did note, however, that the gap between the rich and poor is wider in Ireland than elsewhere, while the gender gap in educational performance is also larger than average.
