Truck gets stuck under bridge at Amiens St

Traffic was diverted after the truck struck the bridge. Gardaí are on the scene and helping to free the truck.

GARDAÍ WERE CALLED in when a truck became stuck under a bridge in Dublin this afternoon.

The truck became wedged under the bridge at Amiens St, causing disruption to traffic. Gardaí treat such an incident as a collision and are on scene trying to free the vehicle.

They put diversions into place, which may be leading to traffic delays. The DART was also affected by the incident, but services have since resumed between Connolly and Tara St.

The incident occurred within the last half an hour. Gardaí say they are helping to free the truck from underneath the bridge.

Meanwhile, AA Roadwatch also reports that there is a vehicle on fire on the N21 Limerick/Tralee Road approaching Adare on the Limerick side. Delays in the area are being reported.
