Now I detest Trump as much as any sane person does, but he is not the villain in this story.

What he told that woman is absolutely true. If you join the US Army to fight colonial wars in poor countries to steal their natural resources to enrich corporations, then it is only responsible to be aware of that danger you are chosing to put yourself in.
