  • We don’t know if they killed themselves yet?! However it happened, it’s horrible.

  • I personally know several fire fighters and I’ve met them after they have come back from car crashes where they have literally picked bodily parts off the road. I’ve met them after they have come back from house fires where they have removed charred bodies from fires. There is no counselling, just get on with it and be ready for the next fatality. There isnt any money is going to compensate people for the effect this has on their minds. They are amazing people and unless you know exactly what they have to experience in their line of duty you have no right to criticise.

  • What an awful thing to find. Those poor firefighters!

  • Firefighters really have a hard job with little reward I think. I can’t imagine having it in me to do a job like that and I’m not sure I know many people who could.

  • Those overpaid firefighters! Wish all those calling for their pay to be cut, had to do the dirty jobs instead.

They are far from been over paid especially any of them who are retained as they only get payed if they get a call out and with two full days on call having to be living close to the fire station. if they don’t get a call out they don’t get paid. I hope if you need their help someday you will be greatful for the life saving service they provide putting their lives at risk every single call out.

    • Sarah, seriously, try reading the post again. 1st bit tongue in cheek.

Gingerman, correct me if I’ve misinterpreted.

  • @gingerman Are you serious. I’d like to see you do that kinda job. to be honest your probably one of the arm chair brigade that sits and moans about everything and how you could do it better. but have probably never worked a day in your life. You try pulling someone out of a fatal car crash or save someone from a serious fire. you probably wouldn’t last a hour never mind a day.
and god help those people in the car. god rest their souls regardless of who they were. what a god awful way to die .
