Two charged over cannabis seizure in Meath

The two men will appear before Navan District Court this morning.

TWO MEN HAVE been charged in relation to the seizure of €84,000 worth of cannabis over the weekend.

The two men, aged 41 and 26, have been charged and will appear before Navan District Court this morning at 10.30am.

The cannabis herb was seized after two vans were stopped on the N2 at Kentstown in Meath on Saturday afternoon and the two men were arreste by Gardaí.

A follow-up search a further €156,000 of cannabis herb was seized at a property in Navan.

A third man who was arrested and detained at Kells Garda station in relation to that seizure was released without charge yesterday. Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
