TWO MEN in their 60s have been arrested after the seizure of cannabis plants worth almost a quarter of a million euro.
The men were arrested by Gardaí from Ballyshannon, assisted by members of the Regional Support Unit, after about 300 cannabis plants were seized from a house in Ballintra in southern Co Donegal.
The plans have an estimated street value of about €240,000 pending analysis.
The men are being detained at Ballyshannon Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
