Some autistic people, generally termed “savants”, though as few as one per hundred thousand, display exceptional levels of ability in different areas, usually memory or Maths related, less often art or music. Remember Dustin Hoffman in Rainman? Meet one autistic person and you will soon realise that they are all exceptional, each in his/her own way. They give us a great insight into ourselves and I’ve yet to meet one person who is not permanently changed for the better through interaction/ meeting/ working with these extraordinary people.

David I find your comment highly insulting. to the Irish people. The treaty will lead to more austerity and more cuts to education with kids like this unable to have such access to piano lessons. Access to piano levels is a basic right that we citizens are entitled to do and this treaty gives the EU more powers to make more cuts.
