VIDEO: Watch the lunar eclipse live

We can’t see it here in Ireland, but we can watch a stream online. Hurrah!

Slooh / YouTube

IT’S THREE HOURS into the lunar eclipse, and even though we can’t see it ‘live’ in Ireland, thanks to the miracle of the internet, we can watch it online.

The above is a livestream of the eclipse, with experts giving updates on the events as they happen.

The eclipse is in its final stages, but there’s still plenty to see.

This is the first of two total lunar eclipses this year, and can only be seen by those in North and South America. Blame it on the sun, as the sky is simply too bright for us to see the events as they unfold.

Astronomy Ireland has more details on the eclipse on its website.
