Poll: Do you carry cash or do you always use card?

Problems processing transactions for Visa cards is affecting many across the country this evening.

MANY A BANK holiday weekend started off unexpectedly for a lot of people, with problems with Visa processing payment transactions meaning many are unable to use their cards this evening.

Irish banks AIB, Permanent TSB and Bank of Ireland have all said some customers here are being affected by the issues.

Permanent TSB, for example, said that customers’ Visa debit cards can be used at ATMs but may not work in shops or restaurants.

So, for some people who didn’t have already have cash on them this evening, they may be unable to pay for goods and services at all if card is their only option.

With that in mind, this evening we’re asking you: Do you carry cash?
