Watch: young girl's lucky escape after getting trapped under a car in China

The five-year-old girl was dramatically pulled from under the car after being run over in Wenzhou province.

A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl was lucky to escape relatively unharmed after she was trapped under a car in eastern China.

CCTV captured the moment the girl threw a tantrum with her mother and squatted on the ground, refusing to move.

Failing to lift her from the ground, her mother walked a short distance in front only for a car to turn the corner and – not spotting the girl – run right over her, trapping the young child under one of the vehicle’s wheels.

People frantically rushed to free the girl, lifting the Honda CRV and releasing her into the arms of her relieved mother.

The Telegraph reports that, remarkably, the girl was taken to hospital but not seriously injured with ITN adding that she went to nursery later that day.
