Gardaí investigating suspicious death after body of man found in apartment

GARDAÍ IN WATERFORD are investigating after the body of a man was found in an apartment this morning.

Gardaí said that they were investigating the suspicious death of a man at an apartment on Wellington St, Waterford.

The body of a man was discovered at the apartment at about 9.20am this morning.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The State Pathologist has been notified and gardaí have preserved the scene pending a technical examination.

Gardaí said they are treating the death as suspicious and a press briefing will be held later today.
