Not guilty on all charges: Corrie actor acquitted of rape and sexual offences

81-year-old William Roache denied the charges of rape involving a 15-year-old girl and another four counts of indecent assault.

CORONATION STREET ACTOR William Roache has been found not guilty on two counts of rape and four counts indecent assault.

Roache had been on trial at Preston Crown Court charged with two counts of rape involving a 15-year-old girl and another four counts of indecent assault between 1962 and 1965 involving four girls who were aged between 12 and 16 at the time.

The 81-year-old denied the offences and has been found not guilty on all charges.
