More wine is being recalled because it may contain pieces of glass

The recall originally related to just Nederburg 56 Hundred Pinot Grigio.

MORE WINE HAS been recalled over fears the bottles may contain small pieces of glass.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) last night said bottles of  says the recall Nederburg 56 Hundred Pinot Grigio were being removed from the market.

Five more wines from the same company have now been added to the list:

  • Fleur du Cap Sauvignon Blanc
  • Fleur du Cap Merlot
  • Fleur du Cap Chardonnay
  • Two Ocean Pinot Grigio

Distell Ltd, which owns the South African wine brand, says the recall only affects certain batches that have been delivered to retailers.

FSAI says that retail outlets should display notices in their stores if they have stocked the affected wines.

Retailers are being advised that the affected batches are LB107J14, LB111L14, LB111B15, LB127K14, LB127H14, LB122I14, and LB121D15.
