Garda Ombudsman seeks witnesses to fatal Kildare road traffic incident

The incident, in which a man in his mid-20s died, took place in the Ladytown area yesterday.

THE GARDA OMBUDSMAN is seeking witnesses to a fatal road traffic incident that occurred on Sunday in Co Kildare.

A man in his 20s died in the incident.

The Garda Ombudsman is seeking witnesses to the fatal road traffic incident, which occurred at approximately 3.20am on Sunday at Toghers roundabout in the Ladytown area, between Naas and Newbridge in Co Kildare.

In particular, the Garda Ombudsman is looking for anybody who may have seen a red Toyota Corolla with a 99-D registration plate between the hours of 2.30am and 3.20am.

The car was seen at the Kilminchy roundabout, Portlaoise, travelling north along the Dublin Road between 2.30am and 3.00am. It was then seen travelling through Naas town centre shortly before the fatal incident that occurred at Toghers roundabout at approximately 3.20am.

The Garda Ombudsman is asking any witnesses, or indeed anyone with information that may be of assistance to its investigation, to contact it on 1890 600 800
