80-year-old woman killed in M50 collision

The male driver of a van involved in the collision was also hurt but his injuries are not thought to be serious.

A WOMAN HAS been killed in a two vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on the M50 northbound at Junction 7 (N4 Exit) at 10.30pm last night.

An 80-year-old female driver – the only occupant of the car – was fatally injured. The male driver of a van was also hurt but his injuries are not thought to be serious.

The scene of the collision at the M50 was closed for a time to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this collision to contact Ronanstown Garda Station on 01 666 7700, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
