Woman in her 40s dies after Co Meath road accident

The woman was the only occupant of the car, which left the road outside Kells shortly after midnight.

A WOMAN in her 40s has died in a road accident in Co Meath.

The woman was the sole occupant of the car which was involved in the incident – at Ballinagun, close to Carnaross – shortly after midnight.

The woman was rushed to Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

The road has been closed to facilitate a forensic examination.

Gardaí have asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them in Kells at (046) 9280820, or to call the the Garda Confidential at line 1800 666 111. They can also call or visit any Garda station.
