IF FOR SOME reason you’ve been trying to live in the present the last few weeks (big mistake, big, huge!), we’ve been escaping to the long-gone days of The Macarena, Mr Motivator, 80s movies and of course, 90s one-hit wonders

It’s all in preparation for Electric Ireland’s Throwback Stage at Electric Picnic, where festival-goers will be invited to revisit throwback movies, tunes and live performances.

And just like Mark McCabe’s Maniac 2000 must inevitably reach a crux before the beat drops, we’ve reached ours as decades-old nostalgia turns into the not-so-distant-past. This week, we’re remembering all of the incredible tunes from the 2000s.
