The extended interview: Gerry Adams on hugs, confession and telling the Troika to bugger off

The Sinn Féin president spent some time answering our questions this week. Here’s everything he said…

ON THURSDAY, THE Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams paid a visit to TheJournal.ie‘s offices for a wide-ranging interview.

We discussed economics, Greece, water charges and lots more. You can now watch an extended interview with the Louth TD below. Among the other questions he answers are:

  • Is Sinn Féin ready for an election?
  • Could the party do pre-election deal with the Anti-Austerity Alliance… or Shane Ross?
  • Does he really not want to be Taoiseach?
  • Has he been to confession lately?
  • Does anyone tell him to tone it down on Twitter?
