1. #SLAMMED: “This is the worst small country in the western world to be sick in”: Gerry Adams and Micheál Martin have slammed the Government over its medical cards policy, after it emerged that terminally-ill Marie Fleming was asked for proof of her medical condition.

2. #STRIKE: Enda Kenny has said he hopes the ESB dispute can be resolved “in the national interest” after UNITE confirmed it will be serving industrial action notice on Friday, after talks scheduled for this Thursday.

3. #U-TURN: Xtra-Vision has backtracked on its policy regarding pre-ordered Xbox Ones. The company says that, from today, anyone who collects their pre-ordered console will not have to purchase an additional game in order to receive it.

4. #BREAKING UP: Scotland has set out its legal blueprint for leaving the UK. The independence ‘white paper’ says the new nation would cut its corporation tax rate, take-on £1.3 billion in debt from the union, keep Sterling, stay in the EU and scrap the BBC.

5. #JACKIE KNOWS BEST: TV3 has announced plans to commission an entire series of ‘At Home with the Healy Raes’ after more than a half a million people tuned in to watch a documentary on the Kerry political dynasty last night.
