1. #FERGUSON: Two police officers were shot during a protest outside Ferguson, Missouri, early this morning.

2. #GRAHAM DWYER: The trial continues today after a jury heard Elaine O’Hara allegedly texted the man telling him she was scared of him, hours before she was last seen alive.

3. #HOMELESS: The number of families becoming homeless is continuing to rise in Dublin – up 40% since June, according to The Irish Times.

4. FALLOUT: Ecstasy and crystal meth are illegal again but the Irish Examiner reports hundreds of cases may have to be dropped because of this week’s court ruling.

5. #FLIGHT OF THE MEDICS: A study by NUI Galway found almost 90% of medical students are considering leaving Ireland after they qualify.

6. #BULLIES: One in four staff at the Taoiseach’s staff say they have been bullied at work and two-thirds say they are not confident in the implementation of the anti-bullying policy.

7. LUCK OF THE DRAW: Retailers are worried Premier Lotteries Ireland wants to add numbers to draws and jack up prices and they didn’t exactly deny it yesterday.

8. #SYRIA: A damning report from aid agencies working with Syrian refugees has said the UN Security Council has failed in its attempts to help and protect people, BBC reports.

9. #REMEMBER: Figures compiled by the Glasnevin Trust show more than half of those killed in the 1916 Rising were civilians.
