EVERY MORNING, brings you the stories you need to know as you wake up.

1. #MISSING The massive search for the EgyptAir plane, presumed crashed, continues in the Mediterranean today after the airline confirmed that debris found yesterday was not part of its aircraft. It is still not known what caused the tragedy but terrorism is suspected.

2. #STRIKE There is no Luas service this morning as drivers strike for the 12th time over a pay and conditions dispute. Are you a bit miffed about it? Here’s how to apply for a refund.

3. #STRIKE TWO The new Education Minister has warned that schools could close if teachers go ahead with industrial action which would see them stop working their ‘Croke Park extra hours’.

4. #SEE YA Seán Quinn has left his position at Quinn Industrial Holdings (QIHL) – the company that took over some of the operations of the former Quinn Group. He’ll still be able to visit though as he’s negotiated to retain access to his own office.

5. #POOLBEG The Irish Independent and Irish Times report on a new development of 3,000 homes planned for the old Irish Glass Bottle site in the capital.

6. #SLOWLY SLOWLY In other Dublin City Council plans, 30km/h speed limits will be introduced across the city and into some suburbs, according to the Irish Times.

7. #PAPAL VISIT Pope Francis could visit Ireland in 2018, the Irish Catholic reports. “I will come. If I don’t come, my successor will come,” the pontiff told Archbishop Diarmuid Martin.

8. #POTUS The latest poll from CBS News and the New York Times shows that the gap between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is narrowing. She’s still six points ahead though.

9. #POWER OUTAGE It looks like Alan Kelly will fail in his bid to become Labour leader today with no fellow TD willing to nominate him for a contest. Brendan Howlin is now expected to take the top post.
