1. #EDINBURGH The body of missing boy Mikaeel Kular (3) has been found in Fife, police said today. A person has been detained by police in connection with the tragic discovery.

2. #MURDER Dublin man James Dunleavy will re-appear in a Scottish court in April after being found guilty of culpable homicide over the death of his mother Philomena Dunleavy. He was also found guilty of the attempted cover up of her death and dismemberment. He remains in a state hospital in the UK today.

3. #GALWAY The mother of Solomon Soremekun, who died in a lift accident last week, has called for an investigation into the incident to be made public, to ensure that such a tragedy can never happen again. The Irish Times reports that Omolara Alibi is distraught over her son’s death.

4. #CRC The son of the Central Remedial Clinic’s founder told the Daily Mail that he tried “for years to cut [Paul] Kiely’s salary” but was told he couldn’t. He said that paying off former chief executive Kiely early saved the CRC €1.4million.

5. #KABUL Thirteen foreigners, including two British citizens and two Canadians, were among the 21 killed in a restaurant attack in Kabul overnight. The location has been a regular dining spot for foreign diplomats and aid workers.

6. #SCHOOL A Dublin school faces the threat of closure due to a gang feud, Dublin City Council assistant manager Brendan Kenny has told former TDs and Senators, the Irish Times reports. He said that gardaí are often called to the unnamed school to protect children in the playground.

7. #JOBBRIDGE Advance Pitstop has defended its decision to hire 28 interns from JobBridge, rejecting accusations of exploitation. The Irish Independent reports that an anti-JobBridge campaign group plans to protest outside the company’s Cork and Dublin offices today.

8. #WATER Irish Water has said that measures are being taken to protect the pipe network, given that copper piping is a target for scrap thieves. It also said that some of its water meter works may block driveways or footpaths, but this is unavoidable.

9. #EGYPT Egyptian authorities will announce the results of a constitutional referendum today.  Initial tallies suggest the referendum held during the week passed with an overwhelming majority; but Morsi’s Islamist supporters vowed more protests.
