Woman left seriously injured after acid poured over her face and hands in South Dublin
A WOMAN HAS been seriously injured after she had acid poured over her face and hands during an assault in Blackrock, Dublin.
The attack happened shortly after 10pm on Friday night on the path between Merrion Woods and Seamount Apartments in Blackrock.
Acid was used during the attack, resulting in serious injuries to the woman’s face and hands, gardaí believe.
Gardaí are particularly interested in a lone male of heavy set, wearing dark clothing who was in the area at the time.
Walkers, taxi drivers, delivery drivers or anyone who was in the area between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on Friday evening who may have witnessed anything suspicious, or who may have dash camera footage are being asked to contact gardaí.
