Adrian Donohoe murder team appeal for driver of a white HGV lorry

The lorry was parked on Shean Road, Forkhill at around 9.45pm on the night Garda Adrian Donohoe was shot dead.

GARDAÍ IN DUNDALK investigating the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe are appealing for the public to come forward with new information.

The 41-year-old father of two was shot dead during a robbery at a Credit Union in Dundalk on Friday, 25 January.

In particular, Gardaí are looking for information in relation to a white HGV lorry that was parked on Shean Road, Forkhill at around 9.45pm on the 25 January. The lorry may have been broken down and a number of people were seen around the lorry and Gardaí want to establish the following:

  • The identity of the driver/owner of the vehicle.
  • The identity of any person present with this lorry on the 25 January.
  • The identity of any person who may have been involved in the recovery of the vehicle.
  • The identity of anyone who may have been involved in the service of the vehicle on the 25 January.
  • The identify the drivers of any other vehicles that may have been travelling on the Shean Road, Forkhill on the 25 January at approximately 9.45pm.

Anyone with any information on the above are being asked to come forward and contact the Gardai in Dundalk on 042 9388400.
