Dublin Zoo has some new additions (not the pigeon, obviously)

Look at them go!

WHEN YOU GO to the zoo, your aim is probably to catch a glimpse of something exotic, and not some run-of-the-mill farm animals.

However, it’s unlikely that anyone will complain about Dublin Zoo’s latest arrivals.

The zoo’s Family Farm has welcomed 15 new spring additions – 12 Tamworth piglets and three Suffolk lambs.

They were all born just a couple of weeks ago.

Team leader Eddie O’Brien said the youngsters are adapting to their surrounds very well.

Tamworths are one of the oldest breed of pig, and are becoming increasingly rare.

They aren’t suited to commercial farms as they grow quite slowly, and they don’t take to the confined spaces very well.

Suffolks are very common, but we won’t hold that against them.

Their mothers aren’t too far away just yet.

They also enjoy baaa-sking in the sun.

But seriously, let’s move onto the pigs. Look at this little guy.

We’ll take them all. Thanks.
