Updated at 11.23pm
THIS IS A photograph of a picture sent to the home of the Minister for Justice Alan Shatter this morning.
The image of Nazi soldiers at a rally was contained in a package, along with white powder, arrived to the Minister’s home in Ballinteer, south Dublin earlier today.
The package caused a massive security alert at the south Dublin estate with the Army Bomb Disposal Team called to the scene along with several gardaí.
The scene was declared safe at 10.45am this morning.
The text of the photo refers to Danzig, a semi-autonomous city-state, that was annexed by the Nazis in 1939. It is now part of modern day Poland and is known as Gdansk.
TheJournal.ie obtained the photo from a source close to the Minister.

Earlier, the Taoiseach condemned what he described as “anti-Semitic material” and said that it was “a new low”.
Health Minister James Reilly also condemned the incident, saying it was illegal and criminal.
Further analysis has confirmed that the white powder that came with the above photo was baking powder.
Shatter has not publicly commented on the incident.
