Legendary comedian Bill Cosby took to Twitter last night to insist that rumours of his demise have – once again – been greatly exaggerated.

As ‘RIP Bill Cosby’ tweets spread around the internet like fires raging in a Russian forest, the 73-year-old was forced to issue a tweet of his own to show that he was very much alive and well.

Again, I’m rebuttaling rumors about my demise.

The comedian also appeared on CNN’s Larry King Live , where he told stand-in host Kyra Phillips how frustrating it is when people keep reporting your death prematurely.  Later that evening, he tweeted:

Emotional friends have called about this misinformation.

To the people behind the foolishness, I’m not sure you see how upsetting this is
