A 38-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after a body, believed to be that of missing woman Anne Shortall was found.

The body was found in Ashford, County Wicklow this afternoon, not far from where the 47-year-old was last seen on Friday.

The body has been taken to St Colmcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown where a post mortem will be carried out tomorrow morning.

A 38-year-old man was arrested this afternoon in County Wicklow in connection with the investigation. He is currently detained at Wicklow Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
