THE ARNOTTS CHRISTMAS windows were launched today, with more to be revealed in December.

This year the windows are telling the story of ‘Santa mail’ and the journeys letters to Santa make on their way to the North Pole.

Damien Byrne, the head of creative at the company and the designer of this year’s windows tells TheJournal.ie of his love for the festive season.

“I love the nostalgia and tradition of Christmas but [for this] it’s about adding new quirky elements and bringing it to life in a different way.”

This year, he’s added the new element of ‘Christmas Glasses’ – 3D glasses stuck to the window panes that turn points of light into different Christmas images for extra magic for children’s eyes.

There are six windows currently on display with two more to be revealed on 1 December.
