Two women arrested following drug seizure

Gardaí discovered cannabis resin with a street value of €150,000 and a large amount of cash in Clonshaugh.

TWO WOMEN WERE arrested by gardaí today following a drugs seizure in Dublin.

As part of an ongoing operation into the investigation of a North Dublin criminal gang, gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit stopped and searched a car yesterday evening at 8.30pm.

During the course of the search and a follow-up search at a house in Clonshaugh, gardaí discovered cannabis resin with a street value of €150,000 (pending analysis) and a large amount of cash.

Two females, one in her early 60s and the other aged 40, were arrested and are being detained under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended at Blanchardstown Garda station.
