Arrests made after drug seizures in Dublin and Cork

Over €700,000 worth of drugs were seized yesterday.

GARDAÍ HAVE MADE a number of arrests following the discovery and seizure of drugs in Dublin and Cork yesterday.

Two men were arrested in on the Naas Road in Dublin following the discovery of 30 kilogrammes of cannabis and 5 kilogrammes of cocaine with a combined estimated street value of £700,000, RTÉ reports.

The two men, aged 59 and 19, were arrested on the scene and are being detained at Clondalkin garda station.

Separately, gardaí in Cork discovered seventy cannabis plants worth an estimated €35,000 at a factory on Station Road in Blarney, Co Cork yesterday at around 5.30pm.

A man his 20s, who is thought to be a foreign national, has been arrested, breakingnews.ie reports.
