Court for man charged with attempted murder of police officers on Christmas Day

The incident happened in Belfast on Christmas Day.

A 46-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with attempted murder after shots were fired at police on Christmas Day.

The incident happened in the Heath Lodge Close area of North Belfast according to the PSNI.

The man is also charged with possession of a firearm, making threats to kill, and criminal damage.

The man is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court later this morning.

All charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecutions Service (PPS).
