UNILEVER IS RECALLING batches of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream due to the possible presence of small metal pieces.

In a notice issued today, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) said the affected product is the cookie dough flavoured ice cream.

Four batches are being recalled because they may contain metal pieces.

Unilever has issued a press notice and in-store notices warning customers who have bought these batches not to eat them. No other Ben and Jerry’s products are known to be affected.

Customers can contact the Unilever customer care line on 1800 946272.
