A ROAD RACE in Co Armagh has been suspended, after a serious crash involving two riders has left one in a critical condition in hospital.

The Tandragee 100 series of road races is a major event on the Irish biking calendar.

The two riders collided on the last lap of the race which took place yesterday. While one was seriously injured, the other suffered only minor injuries.

This crash occurred in the sixth race of the day – the Senior Support race.

The remaining races on yesterday’s bill were cancelled in the wake of the crash, amid poor weather conditions in the area.

The PSNI also closed the road in the area.
