A WARNING HAS been issued that sliced bread mostly sold in the Cork area could potentially contain metal particles.

The products to look out for are Jack Cuthbert’s Bakery Traditional White Sliced Bread, pack sizes 400g and 800g, and the company’s Traditional Brown Sliced Bread, also pack sizes 400g and 800g.

The items have now been recalled and members of the public are advised to keep their eyes peeled for any products they might have already bought.

The batches impacted have best before dates of 20/10/2015, 21/10/2015, 23/10/2015 and 24/10/2015.

Point of sale notices will be displayed in shops where batches were sold.

In its recall notice, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland has said that not other products have been affected.
