Woman 'punched to the ground by rapist' after gas company gives him her address

Police in the UK are investigated the alleged attack.

A MOTHER OF three has claimed she was attacked by her rapist after a gas company accidentally gave him her new address.

British Gas has apologised for sending the address to her former home, where her violent ex-partner still lives.

The 42-year-old woman alleges the man “punched her to the ground and repeatedly kicked her” after finding the flat she was living in with her daughter, the Sun reports.

She had been living there since last October, after her ex-boyfriend allegedly raped her.

“Luckily I wasn’t seriously injured but I’ve had to move again,” the woman told the paper.

Essex Police are investigating reports of the attack.

A spokesperson for British Gas said: “We have apologised unreservedly for the mistake we made in sending correspondence to the wrong address.”

We put this right as soon as we became aware of it and have been doing everything we can to help the customer.
