Hundreds of cannabis plants seized in anti-drug operation
THREE MEN HAVE been arrested in connection with the discovery of a cannabis cultivation operation in Co Kilkenny today.
As part of an ongoing garda investigation into the sale and supply of illegal drugs, gardaí in searched a house in the Ballymorris area of south Kilkenny early this morning.
Over 400 cannabis plants were discovered at the premises and seized by gardaí. The plants have an estimated street value of €360,000, pending further analysis.
Three men – one aged in his 20s, one in his 30s, and the third in his 40s – were arrested at the scene are are being held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Thomastown Garda Station.
