Gardaí make fifth seizure of cannabis plants in Clare in one week

Gardaí have seized more than one million euros worth of cannabis plants in Clare over the past seven days.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED 240 cannabis plants worth almost €200,000 from a house in Clare.

The discovery is the fifth haul of cannabis plants from homes in Clare in the past seven days. More than one million euros worth of the plants have been seized altogether following separate operations in Tulla, Kilkee and Carrigaholt since last Thursday.

Today’s seizure was carried out as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of illegal drugs in the area. Gardaí raised the house in Faha, Caher, at 2.30pm this afternoon and seized the plants.

The scene is being preserved for a technical examination and there were no arrests as a result of the operation.
