Young man killed in motorbike crash in Carlow

Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses following the fatal crash.

A MAN WAS killed in a crash in Carlow when his motorbike hit a digger.

It happened at Ballymoon, near Muine Bheag at 8:50 last night.

The 27-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Waterford Regional Hospital for a post mortem.

The driver of the digger, a man in his 30′s, was uninjured.

The road is closed to traffic and diversions are in place.

Garda forensic collision investigators will carry out a technical examination at the scene this morning.

Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses following the fatal crash.
