Funeral details of Carrickmines fire victims announced

The burials will take place in Wexford and Wicklow over the coming week.

THE DETAILS OF those killed in the Carrickmines fire last weekend have been announced.

The fire claimed the lives of 10 people, including a pregnant woman.

The bodies of those killed were released to family members on Friday after being officially identified.

Willie Lynch, 25, and his partner Tara Gilbert, 27, and their two children Jodie, 9, and Kelsey, 4, will be buried in Bray this coming Tuesday.

Willie’s brother Jimmy Lynch, 39, will also be buried.

Their requiem Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer in Bray.

The removal of Sylvia Connors, Thomas Connors and their three children Jim, Christy and Mary (who was only six-months-old) will be held at the Church of the Ascension of the Lord, Balally at 5pm on Wednesday.

This will be followed by the funeral Mass Thursday at 11.30am, with it then proceeding to the Church of the Assumption, Bride Street, Wexford town, arriving 5pm.
